One with it.

“We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.” ~ Helen Keller; American author, political activist, and lecturer.

“You learn more from losing than winning, more from pain than joy.” You learn how to keep going.” ~ Morgan Wootten; American former high school basketball coach.

It is extremely important to develop ourselves and vital for true happiness in life to self-reflect and know our deepest selves, our darkness as well as our light, our pain as well as our joy.

Sadly, most people today do not understand that in order to know why something happens in life, you must embrace it, become well acquainted with it, study it closely; and, opposite to this, you must never escape and try to ignore it, specially when it comes to emotional and psychological issues.

The human being suffers pain, and, no matter your unique situation in life or who you are, you must learn to adjust to this; because pain is meant for your mind to analyze it and comprehend it in order to not allow it to destroy you and your dreams.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.  Do not run away from pain through activities, relationships, jobs, religion, travels, and the rest; but stay with pain and learn the lesson in them.  Do not avoid pain and what makes you uncomfortable, but realize that it is a blessing in disguise so you can grow.

Personally, I welcome challenges and pain, because If my father and brother hadn’t died, if my mother hadn’t nearly been killed by my once stepfather, if I hadn’t gone through so many challenges in my life, I wouldn’t have awakened to many wonderful things I see so clearly now, and, of course, I wouldn’t be sharing this with you and trying to help you in your own life.

So, you see, life turns to be wonderful and miraculous once you study and analyze those moments that have caused you so much pain and still anguish.  I hope you can see this, too.

The wider view...

“Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best.” ~ Theodore Isaac Rubin; American psychiatrist, and author.
“Life is not easy for any of us.  But what of that?  We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves.  We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” ~ Marie Curie; Polish-French physicist and chemist.

Happiness, true happiness, is realized and experienced in the individual by having patience and perseverance, by having diligence and commitment to a cause; that all means struggle through challenges, a deeper understanding, and reluctance to quit.  Self-discipline is paramount through it all since self-discipline means passion to this superior commitment; this is the path to what lasts and to what gives profound meaning to our lives.

Of course, the rest is just fleeting pleasure, it will not necessarily be struggle nor make us get out of our comfort zones.  The lower mind, the animal condition in man will always tell us of the easy pleasures in life, where the ego feels comfortable and gives mere satisfaction to the same ego-centered mind; however, most of the time this does not last and the mind is like in a sugar rush… it is extremely excited and high… but soon afterwards the mind goes back to its normal state and then there is the immediate sugar crash…

But through intelligent planning, analysis, hard and consistent work, and a noble and pure passionate heart, happiness can be experienced, true and constant happiness that is and not mere excitement and pleasure with a disguise to fool us into happiness condition.

For example, most of the time people get into relationships while confusing a mere attraction to the pleasures of the same relationship with true happiness, and that is because they are fooled by their egos and the feeling it superficially creates in them; however, the feeling of happiness is pure and is not based upon attachment to a face, to an intellect, or to a personality–these things might help, but they do not connect two souls because these things are tied to change (one day they are there, the next day they may not be.
No, happiness is not pleasure.  Happiness is the deeper connection to a person or to an event just for the sake of giving love, for the sake of connecting; it has no reason more than the process of expanding love.   The ego expects love and happiness.  The pure heart just feels a soul connection and gives love because that is what it does… it just gives love… in the process of giving is the happiness experienced.

So, pay attention in your own life and learn to see the difference between true happiness and fleeting pleasure, between what lasts and what doesn’t.  This will guide you towards true success and happiness which is real and thus brings real value to your life, to your superior development.

Innermost.

“No one knows your situation better than you.  Do what’s best for you.  If they can’t love you through it, then they weren’t meant to be in your life.”  ~ Tony Gaskins; American motivational speaker, author and life coach.

“Look inside yourself for the answers, you’re the only one who knows what’s best for you.  Everybody else is only guessing.”  ~ Charles De Lint; Canadian short story writer, novelist, poet, and lyricist.

Knowledge of self, daily reflection, routine meditation into yourself, is what one needs in order to embrace complete happiness and in order to be content with whatever you do in life.

This is self-love: when you only follow your inner self and take care of that inner self because you realize that you are the most important person you have to worry about, your mental elevation and emotional understanding; and so, from this process of self-love you can now expand love onto others.

24312907_393573671076001_3268789277593856981_n
But this paramount process of self-love gets interrupted and badly tainted if you allow your focus to be on others, on others’ expectations for you, on others’ opinions and wishes for you, etc. etc.
No one, not even your loved ones, can tell you exactly what is best for you if you are mature enough to see it for yourself, if you are mature enough to know where you are going and enjoy the path you walk; therefore, it is of the ego to feel victim of the opinions, wishes, expectations of other people, for you must see the reality, that you are the god of your own life, that you are the creator of your own life.
Never allow guilt, shame, fear, to consume your rationale and affect your emotional understanding of yourself, because you are here on this earth to develop yourself, not to take care of others constantly and be the punching bag for their mental and emotional nonsense.
This may sound harsh to someone that is not well acquainted with self-love, but it is the absolute truth to me; and I live my life based on it.

You are the only one who knows your innermost desires and strengths, so do not let any tricks from your ego or from the ego of others to manipulate you into being less and staying less than what you are and can accomplish.

Do not give in to stress and frustration, but raise above it.

Not the end of the road.

“Authenticity is everything!  You have to wake up every day and look in the mirror, and you want to be proud of the person who’s looking back at you.  And you can only do that if you’re being honest with yourself and being a person of high character.  You have an opportunity every single day to write that story of your life.”  ~ Aaron Rodgers; American football quarterback.
“I am not the richest, smartest or most talented person in the world, but I succeed because I keep going and going and going.”  ~ Sylvester Stallone; American actor and filmmaker.

The mind can be a fatalist making challenges seem daunting and mistakes seem like the end of opportunities for progress in life; however, these ways of the mind themselves are challenges, distortions of reality due to a lack of self-discipline, and this is what is needed for us to become stronger and master ourselves.

Nothing in this life is given to you, but you create it with your thoughts of inspiration and persistence, never stopping because you make a mistake or you fall.

24059076_391443597955675_2092930498080801351_n

How can someone learn to understand and appreciate life if that someone gives up because of a bad experience or mistake…??  How can someone really practice true self-love and at the same time stop the expression of his human spirit from pursuing his dreams and goals…??  How can that someone embrace happiness every day if there is neglect to keep going and learning from mistakes…??

You were not meant to just cruise by and admit defeat, put a fake smile and pretend that you love your life as it is.  You must understand that life is not random, life is conscious, much more conscious and wise than the highest human I.Q., and even highest than any Enlightened human heart.  You are the creator of your life all the time; when you are conscious of what you create, you control what you create thus beauty surrounds you; but when you are not conscious of what you create, you are not in control of what you create thus ugliness surround you.
There is no mistake in life, not even if it is a major crime, that will mark you as garbage or sinful for ever, you have always the power within yourself to change and raise above yourself and what you did; so, your next choice, your current moment will modify it in your mind, you either learn from mistakes and bad experiences or you drown in a dark pool of self-pity and self-destructive thinking.

Life in its wisdom moves and never stops, and the clock never stops either; therefore, be wise as life itself is wise, mind your time and your thinking, act accordingly and keep going always aiming to be better than yesterday.
